Bornholm
We have named our glasses after cities and attractions in Denmark to emphasize the beauty of the country we love.
Bornholm has it all. There is beautiful nature, beautiful beaches, gorges, valleys and not least breathtaking cliffs. For example, you can take a walk in Ekkodalen, which is Bornholm's largest fissure valley, where you will find a 200-year-old protected forest and, as the name indicates, can test your best echo.
In addition, Bornholm also offers an old castle ruin, better known as the medieval fortress Hammershus. This is Northern Europe's largest castle ruin and is a popular excursion destination for many families.
Bornholm is not only known for their beautiful nature, but also their food, and you can’t say you’ve been to Bornholm without trying their fish specialty Sol over Gudhjem. The open sandwich with smoked herring, egg yolk, radishes and chives is a must have when you visit The Sunshine Island.
Finally, Folkemødet also always takes place on Bornholm. The public meeting is wrapped in a beautiful setting in Allinge and gives citizens and decision-makers the opportunity to meet and engage in dialogue. Folkemødet is referred to as the celebration of democracy, where community and conversation are paramount.
